Nous Research's self-hosted personal agent with a self-improving skill loop.
Hermes Agent is Nous Research's MIT-licensed Python personal agent, self-hostable across CLI, desktop, Docker, Nix and Termux with seven terminal backends; it closes a self-improvement loop by creating and refining its own skills, and Nous Research also offers a hosted Hermes Cloud preview.
Caveat: Its first public release date is disputed (reports say February 2026 while the repository was created in July 2025), and the Hermes Cloud launch is reported anywhere between May and July 2026.
