Weaviate is a BSD-3-Clause vector database written in Go and initiated by Bob van Luijt in 2016; it stores objects and vectors together and supports hybrid (vector plus keyword) retrieval, with a managed Weaviate Cloud offered by the company formerly named SeMI Technologies.
