Zep

Zep is an open-core agent memory platform whose open-source core is Graphiti, an Apache-2.0 temporal knowledge graph engine that tracks both when an event happened and when a fact became invalid; the architecture is described in arXiv:2501.13956, which reports 94.8% on Deep Memory Retrieval versus 93.4% for MemGPT.

Caveat: Only Graphiti (the graph engine) is Apache-2.0; the managed Zep Cloud platform is proprietary. Benchmark figures are the vendor's own published results and have not been independently reproduced here.
